Texas Grand Jury Incide Man who presumably killed his 9 -year -old mother in 2016

A Webb County, Texas Grand Jury inclined a man almost a decade after he would have tried to sexually attack the mother of nine children and killed him as he returned home from work.
Using advanced forensic methods, investigators with Texas Rangers and the Police Department of Laredo identified Sergio Mendez, 42 years old, as guilty who presumably killed Janette Escamilla Jaramillo, 33 years old, in 2016.
The Texas Rangers declared in a press release that on May 18, 2016, Jaramillo left his job to return home around midnight, even if he never arrived at his destination.
Jaramillo’s body was discovered under a skating ramp immediately after the Alba at the Seven Flags Park, by the employees of the Department of Lado Parks and Recreation.

Seven Flags Park finds himself a few isolated from where Jaramillo lived, according to the officials of the police.
Investigators learned That the victim had been brutally strangled after an attempt at sexual aggression.
During the investigations, the detectives examined the surveillance video movies showing Jaramillo who walks with an unidentified person about 30 minutes after being seen to leave his job.

The police described the suspicion as tall with short and cut hair and wearing a garbage bag, even if it was probably because it rained that night.
At the time, however, there was tests that are not sufficient To arrest a suspicion in the case of Jaramillo.
But in 2021, investigators were able to obtain funding from the Department of Justice (DOJ) after the case was identified as admissible to the program of the Assault Initiative (Saki) program of the Texas Public Security Department (Saki).

The loan allows agencies in the United States to further investigate unresolved sexual attacks e Sexually related murders.
Investigators used funds to conduct advanced DNA tests, which in the end identified Mendez as a suspicion.
