“Rochelle is a place and I think he’s sold out,” Eason said. “The whole city will come out – they will be there to warm up.

“We clarified the group of players who have not been to France before what to expect because I think it is important that they understand.”

Scotland approached a disturbance in the clash of last year against France, conducting 5-3 in the middle before falling into a defeat for 15-5 in Edinburgh.

“France is a good part, but I thought that our performance against France was excellent last year,” Eason said. “We have to trust you in this.

“We have to take confidence from how much the game has finished until the last minute. We must also trust our performance against Wales and go with the belief.

“We have won 13 on the last 17 and that’s how we have to look at it. We have to look at you know every game as a good opportunity.

“It will be difficult. We have been very, very clear about this, but we go with confidence.”
