Northern Ireland Women’s Team: Aimee Kerr of Gletoraran receives the first call for the double head of Romania

Glentoran Aimee Kerr’s midfielder received his first call to the Northern Ireland team for the double head of their Nations League against Romania.
The eighteen year old previously led ni at the Under 19 level and replaces the teammate of the injured club Chloe McCarron in the team after impressed in his first season of women’s premiership.
Tanya Oxtoby’s team is the second group B1 after a defeat against Poland and a home victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina in their first two games.
They face Romania, who are at the bottom of the group after two defeats in their first two games, in Bucharest on Friday 4 April before a return game to Windsor Park four days later.
Oxtoby also brought Lymphield Defender ABI Sweetlove for the Nat Johnson full -back by Nottingham Forest in the one more change from his February team.
Sweetlove, who also captained Ni at the Under 19 level, was in the team for the victory for the second leg of Euro play-off against Croatia, but was a unused replacement.
“We probably needed several central (defensive) options with the interrupting ABI and NAT and Chloe is not suitable for this window, Aimee is more like a similar replacement,” said Oxtoby.
“We monitored those (two) players for a while and we planned a bit when we thought it would be a good time to bring them based on the opposition and our team composition with what we need.
“This window seemed really an excellent opportunity and I’m really enthusiastic about them to join us.”
The duo of Gleleran Nadene Caldwell and Kascie Weir, who were late for the team last month, keep their places.
Striker Weir made his debut outside the bench in the loss of 2-0 in Gdansk before making his first start and impressive in the 3-2 victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Inver Park.
Captain Simone Magill is one of the four players of Birmingham City nominated in the team of 23 players together with Rebecca Holloway, Rebecca McKenna and Ellie Mason.
