Tamim Iqbal: Bangladesh batter discharged from the hospital after cardiac arrest

The former Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal captain was discharged from the hospital after his cardiac arrest during a domestic game.

Tamim, 36 years old, was he rushed to the hospital After complaining about serious pain in the chest while playing in a game of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League on Monday.

The doctors now say that he will return home and “hope that he will soon be able to return to the cricket”.

He thanked the doctors for their “extraordinary” cares on Tuesday, after receiving angioplasty to relieve a block of the arteries.

Tamim, Bangladesh’s record marker on an international day, represented his country 391 times in all formats between 2007 and 2023, marking 15,249 points.
