Free beer on offer if Jenni’s pride wins 2025 Australian Cup in his “return of the century”

But Jenni’s pride had other ideas. He had not lost his will to compete.
This week, Maher, October and Stupper Samantha Waters spoke with this masthead of one of the most popular returns of the races.

It was a tax campaign that saw his race three times in four weeks – second in the $ 5 million group King Charles Stakes (1600m), eighth of nine in the group of 5 million dollars (2040 m) and last in group 1 samples of $ 3 million (1600m).
But he had no regrets. “I rightly withdrawn it,” he said.
The media were the first to know. Immediately after the Mile Champions League, October fired a message to say that he was sending the pride of seven -year -old Jenni in his 50 -acri Cape Schanck property and would have made an appointment with the Japanese Boom Equinox stallion.
But he did not spend much time before the intentions of the colorful owner began to change. “It was in the home paddock, and it was the first horse that I would see in the morning and the last in the morning. He would always pass the fence in search of a carrot or two,” he said October.
“I was able to see that the pride was becoming stronger and eager, so we started working it around the property, work on the beach and the sandstick, and loved to swim.”
The horses that bleed are prohibited by training for two months and racing for three months to allow them to recover completely, so talking about a return is not emerging until January.

At the beginning of February, Jenni’s pride had returned to the Scuderie di Cranbourne in Maher and jumping out in the rehearsals.
“I wouldn’t risk it, but he prefers to be in training, he wants to be a competitor,” explained October.
“It is better than ever and this could be the return of the century. I am thinking that we will see this autumn because it is the horse in charge of the year.”
Happy to be back
Jenni’s pride returned to training as if he had a point to demonstrate. At least it seemed like this for his normal pilot and tear, Samantha Waters.
When they dropped the three -time winner of group 1 at the Scuderie di Cranbourne in Maher, he dragged his managers “by the float and dragged them straight into his old box”.
“He knew where he was going and he was very happy to return,” said Waters.
The 27 -year -old Stupper was disappointed by the immediate consequence of Jenni’s retirement pride, but only because he did not want to see the horse “end on a bad note”.

He stayed in contact with October and visited the mare every second week. Now he has something more to look at every day when he launches at work.
“As soon as she returned to the stable, I went back to her and went straight to work with her every day,” said Waters.
“I would say that it was probably just as good or it seems a little better in itself than he did in the autumn of 2024.”
Better than ever
Maher will not acquire statements that Jenni’s pride was asked to do too much during spring. He said the criticisms could be leveling at any horse during any campaign after a bad run.

Instead, he said the forced break was positive.
“He put more weight than he has never put because of that prolonged break,” said Maher.
“Her races take a little out of her style, the way she applies to the races and traces of the work, so the break could not have operated better. It was a blessing.
“She rested, her lungs have settled … it’s just as good or better than ever.”
The coach was not surprised when October called him at the beginning of the year to say that he was reporting his mare.
“He said he was withdrawn from the media, but he has never been officially retired, he just had two months away,” Maher said.
Jenni’s pride won his first race of over 1800 but level of group 2 in Caulfield with the new Fantino Craig Newtt on March 15th. He rolled in the front line in a family way and retained them. It was the first time he had won the first.

“It’s good for racing,” said Maher. “Look at any race that does not have it inside, and they are high quality races, they are good breeds, but adds only another element to it.
“It is unique in what he can do and in what he can do continuously. I think that people naturally bring them to her.”
That and some free drinks.
