Police arrest parents for WhatsApp complaints about school
A couple criticized the police after being arrested for having done complaints about his daughter’s elementary school.
Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine claim to have been arrested by six Hertfordshire police officers in front of their young daughter on January 29, after being arrested with suspicion of harassment, harmful communications and causing a discomfort for the property of the school.

The couple said that the arrests arrived after Allen, that until recently it had been in the Council of Governors, had written to the school governors in May 2024, wishing answers on why an open recruitment process had not been started after the principal teacher had announced his retirement half year before. The couple said that the president of the governors then wrote to the parent body by warning that the school would take measures against any “inflammatory and defamatory” comments made on social media.

“In relation to the police visit of 20 December, a complaint was presented that was revised by our professional standards department. It was considered that the service provided by the officers was appropriate.”
