Scotland “has already started” preparing to host the women’s world cup

“The decision of the association to have the foresight to create the role of which the custodian for now, the head of the elite game, is that we have already started that preparation.
“It’s up to us to qualify for the tournament, if it is not automatic, but it is an inspiration for all of us, I myself, the complete path, the players in the locker room right now.”
Scotland qualified for their first finals of the World Cup in 2019, but lost in 2023, while they have not reached a final of the European championship since 2017.
Mcardle states that the response to England that hosts the euros in 2022 was warned in that country and hopes for Scotland to capitalize on a similar scale.
“It is a huge inspiration that we could host, but now we also ourselves in a World Cup,” said Mcardle.
“We have seen how huge the euro hosting in England was for the development of the English game during the night and is certainly something that would have had a huge impact through the game.”
In the meantime, Mcardle has repeated his belief of being ready to take his head coach on a permanent basis if he is offered at the end of the “currently underway” recruitment process
Having lost their group opening groups with the Netherlands and Austria, Scotland faces a double header with the best seeds and leaders of the group, traveling to Wolfsburg for the return draw on Tuesday.
Mcardle states that the campaign “gives us a point of reference” to evaluate their progress and “learn” while watching “towards the qualifications constantly for competitions”.
Scotland has lost their three previous meetings with Germany without scoring, the last of those who are a 3-0 friendly defeat in 2013.
