Emma Hayes: your “Dreamland” while the United States set themselves for co-deductive of the women’s Cup
Emma Hayes states that the United States’s national women’s team is in “Dreamland” following the news that the United States is destined to conduct with the 2031 women’s World Cup.
On Friday Fifa confirmed that a joint offer by the United States Soccer and other Concacaf members’ associations was the only expression of interest for the 2031 tournament. If a compliant offer was presented by the end of 2025, this will open the road to the United States to stage the women’s World Cup for the first time since 2003.
Hayes would not be attracted to the fact that it would still be under international management in view of the tournaments in 2031 and 2035, so the United Kingdom is the only bidder, but said it intended to participate in tournaments in a view of supporter.
“Dreamland I think we know that there will be a world cup coming on these coasts,” said Hayes, speaking during the pre-match press conference on Friday before Saturday against Brazil.
“The infrastructure will be taking place by the male world cup (in 2026), therefore how surprising it is. I don’t know how it will be in addition to what we will do in this country, but I think the real merit goes to (United States football CEO) JT (Batson) and (President of the Soccer) Cindy (Parlow Fice) for the work they did on that offer.
“It is so aligned with our strategy and the way we wanted to push the best possible. We know that we cannot control that decision, but we wanted to make sure that the Federation knew that it was really important for us to host, therefore a real credit for them.”
