Kyle Walker: the Man City defender “wanted to cry” after the movement of the loan to Milan AC

Kyle Walker says that “he wanted to cry” the day he joined AC Milan on loan from Manchester City.
Walker moved to Milan in January on loan until the end of the season after falling unfortunately under the director of the city Pep Guardiola.
Speaking on Kyle Walker’s podcast, England defender told of his sadness in saying goodbye not only to his teammates of the city, but to all the coaches and the non -football staff in the club.
“The lady there, Emma, who would be behind the counter and you needed food and made you drink – even when I looked at it, I wanted to cry,” said Walker.
“Every day I told her (good) morning and I gave her a pampering and suddenly I won’t see her anymore.
“You don’t think about it when the process (transfer) is happening, but then when you come goodbye, it’s difficult.”
Walker insisted that he has nothing against the city, with whom he won 13 important trophies, but he said He could not lower the Italian club.
“I have no bad words, nothing negative to say about the city. What that club has done for me both inside and outside the field is incredible,” he said.
“When you move away from the bubble that you think about how lucky you are. It is not lack of respect for any of the other clubs I played for, but the seven years that we had there, I don’t think it will happen again in football.”
Walker explained that his lack of game time in the city and the desire to reach 100 caps in England – currently 95 – were also factors.
“The only other black player to get 100 caps is Ashley Cole. If I can be the second black player to reach 100 caps would be a great honor,” said Walker.
“It was a great relief when (the manager of England Thomas) Tuchel gave me the call and we talked. I also spoke of the move to AC Milan with him and I said I wanted to stay in Europe because I want to represent my country.”
