Dave Reddin: Welsh Rugby Union who named the new Rugby Director


Reddin worked for the union of Rugby football in England as a fitness expert between 1997 and 2006, with the peak the success of the World Cup in Australia.

Reddin was also part of the Woodward backroom team on the British and Irish tour in New Zealand in 2005.

After his spell by working with the GB team, Reddin joined the FA in 2014 as head of performance services under the then director of elite development Dan Ashworth.

The role of Reddin initially focused on the development team of England, but in 2016 he was appointed responsible for the strategy and performance of the team.

This role included responsibility for performance medicine, analysis, physical performance, nutrition and development of people.

Reddin worked with the Senior England team of Gareth Southgate, also at the 2018 World Cup when they reached the semifinal.

The CEO of the FA Martin Glenn said that Reddin played a “key role in all 28 of our teams in England” when he left the organization in 2019.

Reddin was subject to an investigation ago after an accusation of bullying against him in 2017.

After an in -depth trial, Fa said he was “completely satisfied that the issues were appropriately studied and concluded”.
