ABC Melbourne’s scores worst-ever result; Kyle and Jackie fail to move the dial

There was also a disappointing start for a new era at the ABC Radio National, with its long -awaited and renewed Breakfast Show – led by Sally Sara and a team of journalists – descending 0.7 points at a share of 1.8 percent. The station dropped to a total share of just 1.2 percent in Melbourne, halving its result from the previous survey.
The first rating survey for the year has captured a six -week period in January 19 to March 1st. While providing a first indication of listening to the public, radio habits are generally measured for a longer period of time.

In Talkback Radio, another great winner of the first survey was the AM Station of Nine owned 3AW, which came out with a 16.8 percent share, an increase of 3.2 percentage points, while the breakfast duo of the Russel Howcroft and Ross Stevenson station delivered a share of 20.6 percent, up to 1.3 points.
In talkback Morning Battaglia, the ABC Melbourne RAF Epstein fell to a 4.5 percent fee, while Tom Elliot of 3AW, a year in which it delivered a 19.2 percent fee compared to 15.3 percent.
