Abuse of your team and filming is embarrassing

One thing is to bring out your inner demons in your team if you just saw them embarrassed yourself and, by extension, you. It is normal and understandable. We were all there. It should be a private moment between you, them and the thousands of people around you at hand. (It is more seriously pleasant to let the whole team have it simultaneously, although, in my opinion, instead of clearly taking a particular individual.)
But if you are abusing a player or coach after a loss AND Your phone is recording it, you’re not just having a crack. You are attracting them. You are exhibiting. You are waiting for that person to put a tip off -line so you can load the viral content on social media and lower all the dopamine. You are not in the video, so take off without scot-ma They It becomes the victim of a pile, as judgments are formed on their maturity and thickness of the skin based exclusively on half of a two -way interaction.
It is dirty stuff.
And it is the kind of things that we probably would like to think that we are above, here in Australia, where our crowds are relatively placid with those in England. Hand. This trend is becoming disturbing prevalent in the FL. It has been in circulation for a while and this season, he has returned with a revenge.
After The opening defeat of the Carlton shock season in RichmondThe players underwent an omnipotent spray of a particular blues supporter who leaned on the fence and screamed violently while walking along the race and in their changing rooms at the MCG.
We know because, presumably, he was his partner next to him who uploaded a video of him who was going away.
Then last weekend, When Melbourne lost to North MelbourneAnother hero in the mouth in foam screamed, repeatedly: “You are an embarrassment! Premiership or not!” Max Gawn widen his neck and then thought better to indulge his basic instincts.
People actually see these videos, they think of themselves, “it’s a great idea”, and then they do it alone.
Once again – I’m not here to tell you how to support your team. Do You. Give the feedback you think appropriate. Freedom of speech and everything else.
But here is my freedom of speech in action: six The embarrassment. You are turning the knob (planned word game) to 11 because you know you are on the camera. Whatever you have to say, however angry you are, it is false, something you are doing to impress your companions. And you wouldn’t do it, however, if there was no railing that separates you from the players and the assault laws separate you from the complete consequences of your actions.

Social media have unleashed many bad things about modern sport, but this could be the worst development ever.
We are not yet in the targeted harassment phase in this part of the world, which is where they are in England, but we will not be far away. It will come, if we allow it.
This disease has yet to infect the rugby championship, or any other code, but it will do so without an antidote: a complete campaign of public shame is needed to erase this behavior from our sports culture, before it is too late.
