President Donald Trump has announced its intention to break down a tree that is said to have been planted by the former president Andrew Jackson.
In a social post of Truth on Sunday, Trump said he was working with “The Wonderful People at the National Park Service” to bring “enormous improvements to the White House, thus preserving and protecting the story!”
“One of the interesting dilemmas is a tree planted many years ago by the legendary president and general, Andrew Jackson,” Trump described. “It’s a southern Magnolia, who came from his home, The hermitage, in Tennessee. This is the good news! “
“The bad news is that everything must end, and this tree is in terrible condition, a danger for very dangerous safety, at the entrance of the White House, no less, and now it must be removed,” he continued.

The historical tree will be cut down in the next few days and Trump has written that it will be replaced “by another very nice tree”.
“Historical wood from the tree will be preserved by the staff of the White House and can be used for other high and noble purposes !!!” The president added.
Jackson, who was president from 1829 to 1837, according to what reported two trees of Magnolia near the White House in honor of his wife Rachel, who died in 1828. But according to the National Park Service website (NPS), the connection of the trees to the old Hickory is questionable.
“The historical photographic documentation shows that Magnolias appeared for the first time in this position near the South Portico in 1860, the trees are still attributed to President Jackson,” explained the agency.
