Staggs looms as a fundamental retention priority for the Broncos, who have been left to juggle between his future and that of his colleague Star out of the contract Selwyn Cobbo.
Staggs and Maguire were clear about their desire to continue working togetherAnd the latter is adamant a return to the state of state of origin of the new South Wales.
While Maguire opted for Joseph-Aukuso Suealii, Stephen Crichton, Latrell Mitchell and Bradman better when he trained the blues at a triumph of the series last year, said “an opportunity can arrive very quickly in that space”, and has supported Staggs to make its first origin since 2022.
“I know how hungry to be able to get into that space. When I am so, it’s nice to train players like this,” said Maguire.
“I met Kotoni a little over time. I had some discussions with him during the last year and obviously the opportunities for him in the space of the origins.
“But I was really struck by how he made the construction of the game and his hunger and passion for bronchos. This is something that has really distinguished himself.”
