Bothroyd diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease

“Personally, my passion and my love for coaching are stronger than ever, I am focusing on the physical maintenance in shape, which is the key to slowing down Parkinson’s progression.
“I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life.”

Bothroyd has managed Watford since 2005-2008, winning the promotion in the Premier League in 2006 and reaching a semifinal of the England Cup in the following season.
He also managed Colchester United, Coventry City, Northampton Town and since 2014-2021 he has been responsible for various youth teams in England.
More recently he managed the Indian side Jamshedpur.
Parkinson’s disease, external It affects almost 10 million people worldwide and over 150,000 in the United Kingdom.
There is no cure and no treatment to slow down or stop the disease, although therapies exist to help manage symptoms.
