Brisbane News Live Updates: Projects in the city center provided “Clarity” by Games Review | The more rain threatens the wet state

The Queensland government has promised additional funding for live music places throughout the state, after dried a new indoor entertainment arena financed by the state in Brisbane by the Olympic plans.

The Crisafulli government has announced more $ 300,000 for 13 places of live music to update the structures and cultivate concerts for local artists on Friday.

The Minister of the Arts John-Paul Langbroek said that the push was “crucial” for the live music sector of the state and the night economy following recent economic pressures.

“This investment of over $ 300,000 will support vital places and small businesses and guarantees that Queenslander can experience incredible live and local music,” he said in a note.

The news arrives only a few days after Prime Minister David Crisafulli rejected the 100 -day review on the Olympic Infrastructure Recommendation for the government to build Brisbane Arena in Woulongabba.

Crisafulli instead chose to put the future of the project in the hands of the private market, telling the media that it has already seen several offers from private investors.

The commissioner for the economy of the Nightland nightlife, John “Jc” Collins, said that he is “disappointing the Brisbane Arena is not going forward as proposed for the first time” but it was confident that he could still be delivered.

“I believe that the concept of a private public partnership to develop the entertainment district in Woolloongabba is a great result, given the infrastructure that already exists around the Gabba and that feeds on the night activities of the city,” he said.

“Now it is a matter of how soon we can make them build, rather than those who build them, because they are shows. And more shows, more Merrier.”
