British and Irish Lions: Andy Farrell May Strike Deal for the top 14 stars

The coach Farrell said that there are up to six players in the running for the Lions captain, with the skipper who did not learn his appointment until just before the team announcement on May 8.
“There are perhaps four, five, you are on the list,” he said.
“When you narrow it – this is the right number to adapt to the program and what you need and which hybrid players can play in different positions – so consider who the leaders are within this, what are the dynamics of a leadership group and who will be able to be themselves and at ease inside and around all this.
“It takes some trial rather than immersing yourself straight.”
The captain of Ireland Caelan Doris, England skipper Maro Itaje and the counterpart of Wales Jac Morgan are all contenders.
Farrell has also confirmed that his technical staff has yet to decide their individual responsibilities.
He revealed Simon Easterby, Richard Wigglesworth, John Dalziel, Andrew Goodman and John Fogarty Like his assistants at the beginning of Wednesday.
Wigglesworth and Goodman supervise England and Ireland respectively.
“The conversations have started and the next time we meet, we will start putting the puzzle together,” said Farrell, who has not excluded by adding more personal to his coaching ranks.
