Cardinals place Masyn Winn (back) on, but he doesn’t believe that the short will miss a long time

St. Louis-Prima of their match against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday afternoon, the Cardinals of St. Louis put the short Masyn Winn on the list of 10 days wounded after the Friday match before the second inning with spasms of the lower back.
Winn’s back passed during the second game of Friday’s game when he enjoyed a ball on the ground from Trea Turner in the middle of the Field and launched first on the run. After the rest of the anning, lengthening the back between the comedies and told the first baseman Alec Burleson and the third basic base, Nolan Arenado, needed to leave the game. It was removed shortly after.
“My back has been tightened in the last two weeks, but nothing crazy,” Winn said after the 2-0 victory of the cardinals on Friday evening. “(Friday) It was definitely the worst day.
“A little the same as last year, only a rear spasm. (The coaches) arrived immediately and have done a lot of work there. Now I feel better.”
Winn, who first faced the back numbers, said on Friday evening that he had told the coaches of the team that he was not going to the list of injured, but recognized that he should have lost at least a couple of games. However, after having conversed with the manager Oli Marmol on Saturday morning, the team decided to make mistakes on the side of caution.
“A couple of things go inside us,” Marmol said on Winn’s transfer to AL. “It’s April and I don’t want to linger.
“I would prefer to put it behind. Speaking with him this morning, go to the and make sure that we feel good to go out rather than monitor everyday monitoring had much more sense.”

It is not believed that Winn’s rear spasms are serious, but Marmol said Winn would lose more than two games and that the team did not feel comfortable playing longer. The cardinals activated the second base of the baseman Nolan Gorman (deformation of the knee tendon to the right) from 10 days as a corresponding move. Gorman’s return will help with the overall depth of Infield, but St. Louis does not have a real backup shorttop in his active list. For now, Thomas Saggese and Brendan Donovan will exchange.
Saturday, the Saggese started short with Donovan on the second and Gorman on the bench. In the days when St. Louis faces an appetizer for the right hand, Donovan will probably have the start short, with Mancino Gorman who takes over the second base.
Donovan appeared in eight Shorttop’s short games but only started a game in his championship career. Saggese played short in four games of the Major League, including Friday evening as a defensive substitute for Winn, but played 70 games there for Triple -o Memphis last season.
While back injuries are jammed, the cardinals do not believe that Winn will miss a long time based on its previous periods.
“You can ban in a window from four to six days,” said Marmol. “Historically, it has been able to do things in that range. It is only a question if we are on the front -End of that or on the back of that, and then you are limited in what you are doing pre -party to feel quite well to play in a game during that window. Here is where, for this soon, it does not make sense to have pushed it.”
Winn will be entitled to leave the injured list on April 22, halfway through the Cardinals road series against the Atlanta Braves.
