Carrick Rangers: the goalkeeper apologizes for Ball Boy Incident in Soluity Game

Carrick Rangers’ goalkeeper, Jack McIntyre, apologized for the accident in the Irish premiership match on Saturday against Cliftonville in which a ball boy seemed to be pushed to the ground.

A statement by Carrick Rangers says that the club and the goalkeeper wanted to “apologize for any anguish caused”.

“In recognizing any anguish caused, the club has made a donation to the children’s hospice of Northern Ireland and will also strive to get in touch with the ball and their family,” said the club’s declaration.

“Any internal disciplinary survey, in accordance with good employment practices, will remain confidential between the employee and the employer. Carrick Rangers FC will not make further comments on the matter.”

Previously, the police service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said that “investigations are underway” on the accident, while the Irish Football Association added that it was “aware of the accident”.

“The police received a report from an assault in a football match in the Cliftonville Street area in North Belfast on Saturday 22 March,” said PSni’s declaration.
