Carryy announces a large plan to repress the crime, strengthen the border

The liberal leader Mark Carney exposed the public security plan of his party on Thursday, promising to repress the bands, protect children, reduce the intimate violence of the partners and face the illegal flow of drugs and pistols from the United States.
“The rates are not the only American policies that are threatening our economy and society. They are also threatening the security of our communities,” said Carney during a campaign stop in Brampton, Ontario.
“The criminals are taking advantage of the irresponsible laws on American weapons and their weak application of borders, to bring illegal guns to Canada”.
Carney also said that large online platforms based in the United States have become “racism seas, misogyny, anti -Semitism, Islamophobia and hatred in all its forms” and that those platforms are used by criminals to damage the Canadians, in particular children.
“My government will act,” said Carney. “Today we are announcing our plan to combat crime, to protect the Canadians and build safe, safe and strong communities”.
THE Liberal public safety plan It includes measures to expand the support for the police, the Canada agents of the border services (CBSA) and other first rescuers.
Carryy said that a liberal government would reinvigo the program for the repurchase of firearms in the assault style launched in 2020, shortly after the shooting of the car bearel, NS, which left the death of 22 people.
The government began by prohibiting 1,500 types of firearms that year, with the promise to regain them. The program for individual owners has not yet begun, but the federal government says it is “It is expected to happen later in 2025.”
The program for companies is still open and the deadline for submitting a complaint is April 30, 2025. Public Safety Canada states that on March 2 there have been 7,299 Active statements.
The liberal plan includes a series of policies as well as pumping more money and efforts in the repurchase program, including:
- Automatically revoke weapons for people condemned for violent crimes, in particular when these crimes include the intimate violence of the partners.
- Passing the legislation making the RCMP responsible for the classification of new firearms models rather than the weapon sector.
- Increase funding to the forensic workshops of the Armp to help the police forces better trace the guns used in crimes.
- Strengthen the supervision of licenses and the application of firearms.
“You can’t be serious in being hard with the crime if you are not willing to be hard with the guns,” said Carney. “You cannot be serious in stopping the intimate violence of the partners without being seriously on the control of weapons.”
The liberal leader said he would pursue these changes in compliance with the right of hunters and indigenous people to use firearms for sport and tradition.
Abuse of minors and violence for intimate partners
The liberal leader plan also requires changes to the criminal code that would make it more difficult for some people to obtain the deposit, easier to grasp drugs and others smuggling, as well as repressing the Increase of hatred crimes.
“As far as we want to protect our children as parents, we cannot always be there,” said Carney. “While protecting children is first of all the responsibility of a parent, it is also a collective responsibility”.
Carneys’ proposals include:
- Presentation of legislation to protect children from online crimes such as exploitation and sixth.
- Providing new funding at the Canadian Center for Child Protection.
- By tightening the laws to repress the child, including the increase in the maximum penalty.
- Give the police more time to pursue sexual crimes against children.
- Make murders motivated by hatred, including femicide, a constructive murder attack for the first degree.
- Increase the penalty for the distribution of intimate images without consent.
- Making a criminal crime distribute deep sexual sexual.
The liberal leader states that if it is elected, funding to the Safety Program of the Canadian community would increase, which provides funding for safety to groups at risk of hatred crimes.
Carany says that it would also introduce legislation that would make a crime to intentionally hinder access to any place of worship, school or community center.
It would also be an crime intimidated voluntarily or threaten anyone who attended the services in one of those locations, said Carney.
Empowering the police
The proposed changes mean that people, in particular repeated transgressors, accused of domestic invasions, theft of violent cars or deals with human beings should prove to deserve the deposit before it is assigned. At this moment, public ministries must demonstrate that denying the deposit is justified.
The liberal plan also asks to increase the number of RCMP staff of over 1,000 and take 1,000 new CBSA officers to repress the smuggling of drugs, pistols and cars.
The liberal leader Mark Carney, speaking from Brampton, Ontario, on Thursday, announced a series of reforms for the weapons control that his government would have implemented, including accelerating the program for the regulating program of firearm in the assault style and ensure that the RCMP classifies all the new firearms before being able to enter Canada.
The public service of Canada would obtain an increase in funding pursuant to the Carney plan, as well as initiatives that provide mental health services at first rescuers such as firefighters, paramedics, CBSA officers and parliamentary protection agents.
Carany says he also wants to change the Canada Post Corporation Act to allow the research and semifoglio of drugs and other smuggling that move through the mail.
The reaction of Poiievre and its proposal of 3 nonsense
The conservative leader Pierre Poirievre rejected the plan, stating that the liberal government has not managed to protect the Canadians from crime in the last decade and it would be madness to allow them to correct their record.
“The Canadians remember how liberal laws have made our communities once more dangerous than ever.
Wednesday, the conservative leader revealed his “Three shots and you are out of law”, Which would prevent criminals condemned for three “serious” crimes from obtaining deposit, supervised freedom, conditional freedom or home arrest, keeping more people behind bars longer.
Three times serious and violent criminals would be classified as “dangerous transgressors” pursuant to the law to make their liberation less likely in the community.
Reduce the transgressors would also be required to serve a minimum penalty of 10 years of life behind the bars for their third offense, with the release only if they demonstrate “immaculate behaviors”, produce “clean drug test”, learn a trade or get some education while in prison, said Poilevre.
“The policies of Hug-A-Thug, Catch-and-and-these have destroyed our cities a safe time. Only the conservatives take violent crime seriously and will do what it takes to check it,” said Poiievre.
