Cbus caught up in super funds hack

The attackers who target seem to be familiar with the country’s superanuation system as they have mainly targeted the people who are in the pension towing phase and can request flat -rate withdrawals.
The Head of the Cybercx Alastair Macgibbon strategy declared on the weekend that it was unlikely that the hackers could find and could hit again, but they urged customers not to panic.
He added that the Super Fund Hack appeared in this initial phase to be an example of “credential padding”, a type of attack in which the data and passwords of a user were stolen from any of their online account and sold on the dark web.
“In fact, if people use the same passwords for multiple accounts, it only takes a violation of the data for persistent criminals and experts to obtain unauthorized access to the other accounts,” he said.
