Charlotte Edwards appointed Head Coach of England

England has appointed the legendary former captain Charlotte Edwards as a new coach.
The 45 -year -old, leader of all time in England, replaces Jon Lewis, who was Fired in March after the ashes 16-0 hammering in Australia.
Edwards has played more than 300 times for England in a 19 -year career, including over 200 games as a captain.
In a 10 -year -old spell, Edwards won three ashes and both world cups of 50 and 20 over in 2009.

The upheaval at the top of the England team arrives due to a revision of the ashes, led by the director of the women’s cricket Clare Connor.
Realistically, Edwards was the extraordinary candidate to guide a reconstruction, with Connor describing it as a “proven winner”. Following his star playing career, he had a considerable success as a coach.
His southern Vipers were the strongest team of the English domestic cricket and Edwards’s Southern Brave won the hundred female in 2023.
Overseas, Edwards brought the Mumbai Indians to two titles in three seasons at the women’s Premier League in India. In 2022, Edwards’s Sydney Sixers were beaten in the Australian Big Bash final.
Edwards will guide England in the series of houses against Western Indies and India this summer, building up to the 50 World Cup in India in October.
