Chelsea Women: Premier League still to approve the “fair market value” of the team sale

The value of the champions of the female Super League has been reported against the most precious women’s team in the world, Angel City, a club of the National Women’s Soccer League based in the United States that was sold for £ 190 million in September.
Chelsea’s evaluation was made when they sought external investments and sponsorships in June 2024, when they announced the “repositioning” of the women’s team in an entity separate from the men’s team.
But although Chelsea continues to insist on the fact that the move will benefit their women’s team, it has also contributed to balance the expense of over 1.5 billion pounds on transfers for three years from the side of men, avoiding enormous losses.
The club also sold two hotels to another associated to keep them in compliance with the rules of the RDP last season, which was considered a fair market value from the League to £ 76.5 million.
The current financial rules of the Premier League do not face the transactions of the associated parts (APT), after the clubs have not been able to close the escapade after the annual general assembly of June.
However, the UEFA European football body has more rigorous rules for Fair Play (FFP) that discounted the APTs of all its members, With the sale of the hotels and the Chelsea women’s team to be evaluated in the summer.
