Chelsea’s “quadruple mentality has returned” after Man City’s victory

Chelsea hunt for European glory was interrupted by Barcelona in the following seasons, but this year the blues have a further incentive.
A quadruple is on the cards with Chelsea who has already won the women’s League Cup, while eight clear points at the top of the female Super League and in the semifinals of the Fa Female Cup.
“The quadruple mentality is back,” said the former Chelsea Karen Carney midfielder on TNT Sports.
“They don’t stop, I’m a train and when they are there, you can’t stop them. They will think ‘we want that quadruple and we will not stop.”
Bompastor says that he is not allowing himself to think of a radius of four trophies, but Chelsea’s ambitions are clear – and the way they sent the city on Thursday suggests that they are up to the challenge.
“We had the whole belief in this game that we were able to turn it,” said Bright BBC Sport.
“We were fully confident and (we knew we were only ruthless. It was a real performance of Chelsea. The fans were incredible.
“It concerns mentality and belief and everyone is understood and deliver.”
Chelsea was far superior to each department, with Sandy Baltimore, Nathalie Bjorn and Mayra Ramirez on the report in an explosive display of the first half.
They pressed the city intensely and finished clinically to take an aggregate advantage, but they could have added more to their counting with Bjorn and Erin Cthbert who hit wood processing, while Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Ramirez lost further possibilities.
“This is Chelsea we know, this is the Chelsea that did it. It was energy, hunger, desire,” said the former Blues Eni Aluko striker.
“The quadruple is important, but the Champions League is the one that escaped them.
“Even if they don’t do the quadruple, if they win the Champions League, it will be what the players have tried to do for years.
“The owners brought Bompastor because he did it.”
