Col. Sen. states that the democratic brand is “really problematic”

Senator Michael Bennet, D-Tolo., Said that the Democratic Party brand is “really problematic” and chastised his party for having lost contact with workers on Sunday “Meet the Press” of the NBC.
“I agree that the Democratic Party brand is really problematic … it is a brand associated with New York and California, it is associated with the educated ethical in this country and no longer workers in this country,” Bennet said to the conductor Kristen Welker.
Welker asked Bennet if he agreed with the statement of the governor of California Gavin Newsom according to which the Democratic Party brand is “toxic”. Newsom made the fiery comments on the “real time with Bill Maher” on Friday and implored that the party had stopped having “meaning”.

Bennet said his party lost contact with the people of the working class.
Bennet seemed to agree with the Governor of California, leveling hard criticisms of their shared party for losing contact with everyday voters. The Senator of Colorado said that the Democrats must present a “compelling vision” for the future of the country and that the inability to do so was responsible for the two non -consecutive victories of the White House of President Donald Trump.
“The Democratic Party has lost contact with workers in our country at a time when fifty years of dripping economy have meant that most Americans feel like, no matter how hard they work, their children will not live a life better than life they have guided,” Bennet said.

Bennet’s comments arrived when the Democratic Party is besieged by the struggle for the future direction of the party. The leader of the minorities of Senator Chuck Schumer was focused on having voted with the Republicans for a continuous resolution to avoid a government arrest.
Schumer faced calls to resign from his leadership position and Bennet previously stated that “it is important that leaders know when it’s time to go”. The senator, however, reduced the question when Welker asked if he still has “confidence” in the leader of the democratic Senate. Schumer resisted calls to resign and promised to remain in his leadership role.

“Look, I don’t resign. I knew that when I expressed my vote against the arrest of the government that there would be many disputes,” Schumer said in a previous week “Meet the Press”.
Bennet said that the Democrats have been “repudiated at national level” and need to spend their time in the political desert about to obtain daring political programs to regain the voters’ trust.

“If the Democratic Party showed up with a little imagination, we would not only do better, but the American people would do better,” he said.
