Copa Libertadores: what to look for when competition is underway

In the early years of the competition, Uruguay were the main force, and then came decades of Argentine domination.
But the last few years belong exclusively to Brazil.
The last six editions were won by the Brazilian clubs, with the country that provides both finalists in four of those years. This level of domain has no precedents.
The financial gap between Brazil and the rest of the continent is growing and the clubs are using it to drop the players from other parts of the continent. Great shots such as Flamengo and Palmeiras could arouse up to five foreigners in their starting line -up.
And here is one more reason why Argentina worries: their clubs won the title 25 times, while Brazil has brought up to 24. This, therefore, is the year in which Brazil is likely to shout at the level.
Can they be stopped? At least the field seems harder than the last few years.
