Cycling’s Track Champions League demolished after four years

The Track Cycling Champions League was demolished four years after her launch.

Founded in 2021, the event was started in an attempt to attract new fans in sport with light shows, music and a faster format.

The Champions League track has characterized the best resistance and sprint cyclists of the world in competition in several rounds in different European cities, but only three hosts staged events in 2024 – one in Paris, two at Apeldoorn and two in London.

In a declaration, the government body of the world of sport, the International Cycling Union (UCI) and its media Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) partner said they would instead “revitalize” the existing nations cup to become the World Cup.

“In the next three years we will focus on the coverage of the UCI World Cup,” said the president of Uci David Lappartient.

“I am confident that cycling will continue to grow in popularity, bringing up and beyond the Los Angeles Olympic games of 2028.”
