Dan Biggar: ex Wales and Lions Fly-Half announces the pension

Biggar admitted to wearing the prestigious 10 shirt for Wales “has not always been simple and easy”, but helped make him a stronger person and player.
He also reflected on a last difficult year in Tolone.
“I also know that the last 12 months have not gone enough as I had hoped with Tolone, it was difficult and the setbacks teach you much more on yourself and in the last 12 months I have learned a lot,” he said.
“There is no real perfect moment to leave, but this seems to be the right one.
“I am choosing to retire, which many sportsmen cannot do when they are healthy and I feel very grateful and enthusiastic about what will come later.
“Rugby will always be part of me, but now it’s time to return some time to my family in this beautiful part of the world and see which challenges come later.”
Biggar ended thanking the game of rugby itself, people, memories and lessons.
“I can honestly say that I gave him everything I had and now it’s time for something new,” he said.
“Thanks, Diolch, goods.”
