Dani Alves: the Spanish court cancels the former sentence for sexual attacks of Barcelona and Brazil

The former defender of Barcelona and Brazil Dani Alves had a rape condemned canceled on appeal by a Spanish court.
The division of appeal of the high court of justice of Catalonia unanimously confirmed the appeal by the 41 -year -old and acquitted him, saying that the case against him had “inconsistencies and contradictions”.
Alves was sentenced to four and a half years of prison in February 2024 after being stated that he sexually attacked a woman in a Barcelona night club in 2022.
The former full -back, who gained 126 international hats, was issued on bailing in March 2024 while his appeal was heard by a superior court.
The Court of Appeal stated that the sentence in the original judicial case “contains, during reasoning, a series of gaps, inaccuracies, inconsistencies and contradictions concerning the facts, legal evaluation and their consequences.
“The story of the complaint, which should have been subjected to greater control, was not compared with the fingerprints and biological tests, which support the subject of the defense.”
