Darts results of the Premier League: Luke Littler wins the eight night in Newcastle
Luke Littler has strengthened his position on top of the Premier League table with the victory on the eight night in Newcastle.
The 18 -year -old world champion defeated Stephen Bunting, Rob Cross and Luke Humphries while they went to a fourth success in the 2025 event.
Littler has eight points away from Humphries in second place and has 26 points in the halfway phase of the championship-a counting phase that would have been good enough to obtain a finish line for the first four and a place in the play-off last year.
He won the first nine legs that he played at the Utilita Arena, beating the sandwich 6-0 in his quarter of final before going 3-0 against Cross while going to a semifinal victory 6-3.
Against Humphries number one in the world, the teenager took the lead 4-0 before completing a comfortable 6-1 victory.
“It’s another week, other points on the scoreboard and another night victory,” Littler said to Sky Sports.
“Now I am sitting even more comfortably at the top and there are a lot of points to go. I am fixed even more in the coming weeks.”
