Delicious Orie: British Olympian during his transition from Amateur to Pro Boxing

Under the guidance of the coach based in Sheffield Grant Smith, Orie has found the “mental turn” in the preparation for longer attacks – rather than three rounds in amateur boxing – rather demanding.
It recognizes the strong depth in the boxing of the heavyweights, in particular in Great Britain, but it is confident of having the attributes for one day to emulate his hero Joshua and win a world title.
“It concerns the scope that a world title brings,” he says. “More than anything else, I was inspired by Joshua because of how he showed up and led by the ring.”
Orie is a boxwise ambassador, a charity body that offers 10 -week boxes of 10 unintegrated young people disadvantaged in the United Kingdom.
“Some of the children I saw, they come home and have a lifetime to the troubled and disordered house. The gym is everything they have,” he said.
“A boxing gym could make a difference from potentially gaining life in prison to a disciplined lifestyle.”
There is a long way to go for the search for the world level of Orie. It is not an easy business: there are great fighters who have never satisfied their potential. But with his cunning, dedication and desire to demonstrate the doubtful, you can be sure that Orie will give him his best shot.
And it doesn’t matter which belts wins inside the ring, his passion for using boxing as a vehicle for change will be a resource for sport for the years to come.
