DHS, Hud works to end the “exploitation of housing programs” by illegal immigrants

The Trump administration has started an interagency effort to end what it describes how the “exploitation of housing programs” from illegal aliens.
In a declaration published on Monday, the Department for Housing Building and Urban Development of the United States (HUD) announced that it has set up the Memorandum of understanding “American Housing Program for American Citizens”. The agreement was also signed by the United States National Security Department (DHS).
The memorandum of understanding is oriented to end “the undue appropriation of dollars of taxpayers for the benefit of illegal aliens rather than American citizens”, said the press release.
“As part of this new agreement, HUD will provide a full -time staff member to attend the operations at the Accident Command Center (ICC), establishing a partnership of Full Agencies to facilitate data sharing and ensure that the accommodation programs financed by taxpayers are not used to host or benefit the illegal aliens”, reads the release.

The effort comes a month after the president Donald Trump Signed an executive order (EO) to “ensure that taxpayers’ resources are not used to encourage or support illegal immigration”. The EO, signed on February 19, ordered the government departments to identify which federal programs “provide financial benefits for illegal aliens” and has commissioned them to “undertake corrective actions”.
In a statement on the recent memorandum of understanding, HUD secretary Scott Turner He referred to the ongoing housing crisis in the United States and characterized the problem as “urgent”.

“This agreement will take advantage of the resources including technology and staff to ensure that Americans are the only priority when it comes to public accommodation,” said Turner. “We will continue to work closely with DHS to maximize our resources and put American citizens first.”
DHS secretary Kristi calls He skipped the Biden administration in his declaration, accusing the former president of giving priority to illegal aliens “on our own citizens, also giving housing for the financing of illegal taxpayers at the expense of the Americans”.

“The entire government will work together to identify the abuse and the exploitation of public benefits and make sure that those who have not benefited from federal benefits or other financial incentives in this country to remain illegally,” said Noem. “If you are an illegal immigrant, you should go now. The sauce train is over.”
