Falcons are preparing for Kirk’s cousins to be QB backup, not foreseen by OTA

PALM Beach, Fla. – The Falscons of Atlanta do not expect Kirk Cousins to participate in the team’s out of season team activities, and the coach head Raheem Morris said Tuesday at the meetings of the NFL owners who will not keep him against the Veterano Quarterback.
“I don’t think it will be there,” Morris said. “If it is, it will be welcome to open arms.”
Morris stressed that the team’s OTAs are volunteers and “will be treated as such”. Falcons, however, still foresee that cousins could be their backup quarterback when the season begins and will expect that it is present when compulsory practices begin.
“Everything is the same until we feel for Kirk,” Morris said. “We still feel very strong that Kirk is our backup quarterback. We feel strongly with the human being who is. Obviously, it’s a business.”
The commercial part of the situation that could change cousins status is a trade. Cousins told Morris that he would prefer to be in a situation in which the initial quarterback can be, Morris said, and Falcons will listen to the commercial offers for the 13 -year -old veteran, said a team source. However, Morris did not discuss cousins who give up his non -trap clause with quarterback.
If the cousins return as a backup to Michael Penix Jr., Morris does not expect cousins to cause problems for Penix in the changing rooms, the coach said.
“I only know how good a Kirk person is,” Morris said. “Kirk has too much respect for the game and Michael and that room and his coaches (to cause a problem). It is not that type of boyfriend. This is a situation that we can solve if we have to.”
The Falcons signed their cousins for a four -year agreement with $ 90 million guaranteed last season and committed other $ 10 million for his guaranteed money by keeping him on the roster beyond a deadline of March 17.
