Ferguson who feels wrong people as head of the ranger, says McCann

Rangers’s assistant Neil McCann insists that the head coach at Interim Barry Ferguson has already shown doubtful about his suitability for the role.

Ferguson was installed until the end of the season after Philippe Clement’s departure in February and led the Ibox team in the Europa League quarter -finals and a first victory at the Celtic Park since 2020.

The Rangers followed that 3-2 derby success with a 4-3 victory over Dundee last weekend, coming from 2-0 and 3-1 down to Dens Park.

“I think many people perhaps think of his coaching CV who perhaps would not even be ready to take this position,” said McCann Di Ferguson, who left his previous post as Athletic Director Allaa in 2022.

“I think he has shown so badly. It is not my place to say to anyone who has to get the job or not (beyond the end of the season). Everything we can do is work hard.

“He is trying to bring the character he had as a player, the requests he had as a player.

“I think we are showing that we have a little courage about us,” continued the former scotland wing. “We have a determination.

“There is a mentality that I think the Gaffer wanted to change on the way.

“I felt that it had to be changed a little and I definitely think we have something there.”
