FIFA Club World Cup: hearing CAS set on the Leon Ban Club


The Leon Club presented an additional appeal against the decision by the FIFA secretary general to be restored to the competition.

Cas said the appeals will be accelerated and listened to during the week starting from Monday 5 May.

Monday, FIFA said he was taking into consideration a Single play-off match Between Lafc and Mexican Side Club America for the right to replace the Leon club in the tournament.

The CAS procedures are underway for a separate appeal by the CostaRican AsocioCion Liga Deportiva Alajuelese (LDA), who say that one or both of the Club Leon and Pachuca should be removed.

LDA asks to be admitted to the competition as the next admissible club. That case will be listened to in Madrid on April 23.

The Leon Club was attracted to a group with Chelsea, Es Tunis and Flamengo.

The Club World Cup will begin on June 14 with the final that will be played on July 13 in New Jersey.
