Fran Gonzalez to make the debut of Real Madrid; Thibaut Courtois Missing VS. Valencia

Real Madrid goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez is destined to make his first team debut in the match of La Liga on Saturday against Valencia due to injury problems around Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin.

Courtois has lost the recent matches of Madrid against Leganes and Real Sociedad after undergoing a muscle injury during the international break with Belgium, while Lunin suffered a discomfort in his leg in the League victory over Leganes.

Courtois aims to return for Tuesday’s Champions League match at Arsenal, but will sit out of the game at home in Valencia, while the Ukrainian goalkeeper Lunin will also not play. It is, however, included in the substitute bench.

Elsewhere, Rodrygo is rested with Brahim Diaz who replaces him while Aurelien Tchouameni plays the central defender in front of Raul Asencio.

Gonzalez, 19 years old, joined the club with cultural culture in 2022, but has not yet made an appearance in the first team for Madrid, but was a unused replacement in the team of the match of Carlo Ancelotti’s match on 59 occasions in recent seasons.

Madrid can move the level of points with the leaders of La Liga Barcelona with the victory. Boat faces the real Betis later on Saturday.

This is the third season that Gonzalez trained with the first team, but has not yet made his senior debut. The coach of the goalkeeper Luis Llopis is a great admirer and has selected him to join Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin for the pre-stuagional tour of Madrid in the United States last summer.

Club sources say that Ancelotti calls him his “Buffon” because his 6 -foot 6 -inch frame (199 cm) reminds him of the former Italy and Juventus n. 1.

Gonzalez is at ease with his line and is extremely agile. He arrived in the United States two days after being part of the Spain team that won the European Under 19 championship in North-Syn Ireland, not playing-and and is represented by the same agency of the former Madrid n. 1 Iker Casillas.
