“Chris Waller also has a couple that is fine, but at 2000m this is probably the best foal we will run against, and it’s a good test.”
Also on Saturday, Portilli has innapid on his knees in group 3 Doncaster Prelude (1500 m). The four-year-old boy closed in seventh place in a class-rich Canterbury Stakes first and was well supported in $ 10 for Doncaster’s key lead-up.
Portelli said Encap was in good order but it may not be performed if the track was heavy.
