Golfista Nastri the mouth closed to stop bad behavior

Ryan McCormick did not have much fun this year as a professional golfist, so he decided to control his anger by recording his mouth closed.

“I had sometimes not so much this year on the golf course. Anoyed and crazy enough,” he said. “So I thought I had tried many things and I thought I shut up. So I put the ribbon on my mouth.”

Has it worked? Not judged on its score. After opening with a 1-over 73 to the Car Championship Club, he published a 72 Saturday (Aest) and lost the cut.

McCormick, relegated to the Korn Ferry development tour after a year in the PGA Tour in 2024, played only the weekend three times in six departures and has not yet finished among the first 40.

He said he read books and talk to people. Nothing seems to work.

“I finished my ideas and thought about the belt thing a couple of weeks ago,” he said. “So, unfortunately, it came to this today. I hoped that perhaps he would help me. I can’t say he didn’t do it or wouldn’t do it.

“I was perhaps hoping that he would help me. I can’t say he did it or he certainly doesn’t breathe it. I felt like Bane, like Batman, a muzzle myself.
