Grand National: Broadway Boy to return home after autumn while driving the race

Broadway Boy will return home after suffering a strong fall in the Grand National.
The horse, trained in the Gloucestershire by Nigel Twiston-Davies, was leading the Aintrene show when he heavily went down to the Romba of Valentine’s Day on the second circuit.
“Thanks for all the adorable messages, especially thanks to all the @Aintrereces veterinarians,” said Nigel’s son and the assistant coach Willy Twiston-Davies on X.
“Broadway Boy is charging on the ambulance of the horse and returns home. A horse so special for all of us at the Grangehill Farm.
“A big thank you to Laura who stayed with him all night.”
Willy’s brother’s brother, Sam said the horse was “rigid and painful”.
After the race, Broadway Boy and famous of Allen – who were pulled up – were walked to horse ambulances after being evaluated on the route by veterinarians and brought to the team for the racecourse for further evaluations.
The Broadway Boy Tom Bellamy jockey was taken to the Aintrene University Hospital for the evaluation
Famous D’At Allen is trained in the Somerset by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White.
“He remained at the night in Aintree for observation and rest and will be fine,” said a post on their Facebook account on Saturday evening.
