Head of Amazon’s TV and Film Steps Down

Jennifer Salke, head of cinema and television of Amazon, is discharged from his position after seven years of work, said the company on Thursday.

With a surprise move, Mrs. Salke will move on to a production agreement on Amazon and will not be replaced.

“Jen has decided that his next challenge and his chapter will be on the production side, with the aim of getting closer to the global creative community even more,” said Mike Hopkins, head of first video and Amazon Mgm Studios, in a memo of the staff.

Hopkins added that with Mrs. Salke’s departure, he had decided to make distinct film and television studies work.

Courtenay Valenti will supervise the film while Vernon Sanders will supervise the television. Both will report to Mr. Hopkins.

This is a development story. Check the updates.
