How did Canucks crushed the ducks with offensive explosion of the franchise record: 3 takeaways

VANCouver – The Vancouver Canucks started the game slowly on Saturday afternoon against Anaheim Ducks. The ducks accumulated heavy consecutive shifts after the disc descended in the first period and exerted sufficient pressure on Vancouver that the Canucks admitted the opening goal of the game on the second round when Troy Terry walked not slowed down in the slot and beat Demko Clean with a wrist blow to the side of glove.

However, the advantage of the ducks was short -lived. And when Vancouver took the command halfway through the first frame, he did not look back. In fact, the Canucks have scored a historical series of Gol-Cinque in 4 1/2 minutes of play-to flattening Anaheim completely in a 6-2 victory.

It was not a victory that will mean very much in the general picture: the Canucks are too behind the Western Conference Playoff Bar at this point.

It was not a victory in a particularly fought game. Given the stake for both sides, the Saturday afternoon match at the Rogers Arena was played at a rhythm somewhere between the NHL preset and the All-Star Nhl game.

We will not leave this dark what was a good time on the track for Canucks fans. For a team that has not won too often at home this season (16-14-7) and has desperately fought to produce objectives and excitement in front of its paying customers, organizing a good thing.

Elias Pettersson gets his first

The goal was rather adorable, given that Pettersson was well combined with the fourth Line of Vancouver out of the race, took the ice of the fourth man and ended well beyond Lukáš Dostál when he captured a great feed at Linus Karlsson’s house.

Obviously, the goal score will not be Pettersson’s business card as NHL player. It is his speed, physical physicality and bidirectional intelligence that has been so impressive this season. That it is somehow surprising that Pettersson took up so much time to find the back of the network, given the quality of some of the possibilities of score that has taken place, is probably a solid indicator of the depth of his skill set.

Pettersson will not go to Quarterback a first unit of power-play or other, but there is some skills of offensive intelligence of skill and positional integrated in his game. It is certainly not monitored to be the type of defensive defender that only marks a goal or two per year. This is a young player whose game certainly appears more multidimensional than that.

Assault

Once Pettersson broke the duck, Vancouver has just run Roughshod on the ducks.

First of all, he was a lucky bounce shot Filip Htronek who escaped Dostal just 68 seconds after Pettersson’s goal.

So Boeser deflected a slap slap at home on the game of power less than a minute later. A couple of minutes had passed when Hughes sent a feed for the Garland of Conor who bounced at the foot of the Canucks forward in the blue paint for the target of the tap-in.

Finally, to establish a franchise record, Dakota Joshua marked a game of passage with Kiefer Sherwood and Marcus Pettersson.

The attack was wildly dramatic and put an end to any suspense in this game. He also turned upside down, in the blink of an eye, a Vancouver dish began in a first dominant period for landfill books.

As for the ducks, however much they improve year on year and both promising talents that have almost all levels of their training, it is quite obvious that the apparent progress has made that their team has done this season is deep and superficial.

The truth is that the ducks should have improved a lot of horrible points this season. The poor vibrations, the poor in-game decision-making process by the duck coaches and a too conservative tactical approach have retained a team that had the talent to take a quantum leap this season, and instead took a step away.

The attack was another example. Dostal started 17 of the last 20 Anaheim games, and it was evident that he didn’t have it. The Ducks, however, kept him on the net, refusing to give him a mercy while the game inclined quickly.

Adopting to that absurdity, the coach leader Ducks Greg Cronin did not call a timeout until Vancouver scored his fifth goal in a stretch of 4 1/2 minutes. At that point, the score was 5-1 and the game was actually performed.

If you intend to burn a timeout to try to stem the momentum in a game, you could consider using it before the score becomes really crooked. Or before being on the other side of a stretch of “five fastest goals in the history of franchise”.

The preview of the Abbotsford playoffs

Playing in his first game since the end of January, Max Sasson has been put in line with Karlsson and Jonathan Lekkerimäki. With his ranks impoverished by injuries – Vancouver had more players in the formation that were recalled in “emergency conditions” – Rick Tocchet turned to that forward line, in part, because it is a trio that spent some time skating together with Abbotsford in the American League.

And Saturday’s results were quite good. A couple of goals for five in five, including a nice goal with a third period goal for Sasson.

Between the performances of that line and the first career objective of Pettersson, in some way the Vannco’s victory of Vancouver offered a preview for the race to the Abbotsford playoffs, which will start seriously at the end of this month.
