“I want to see young guys maximize their potential” – Tom Brady and Birmingham City have not yet finished

Tom Brady is on the pitch in Wembley, embracing the atmosphere and discussing the moments that led to a final.

Wearing a dark look in his VIP seat at the final whistle, Brady recognized that this was not to be the day of Birmingham. Yet, while the beaten team went up those Wembley stairs, knowing that there were no trophies waiting for them at the top, it was a rare show to see Wagner organize a haste and share some words passionate with the group. Brady nodded and beat his comments. This, at least, showed solidarity in a moment of despair.

“We don’t leave the field to be mediocre,” said Wagner Atletico. “This was our goal this year and it will be the same next year and every two years we will be at the club. We will not change.”

Speaking after the game, Wagner was asked by journalists what his first task will be this morning (Monday), and he replied: “Find out how to win. We have to learn to win at a higher level and we must find a way to prepare for an even higher level than that. There is a lot of work to do.”

Raising the manager Chris Davies, players and supporters will not be a difficult task.

Birmingham needs to win three of their six left games in the championship to see them 103 points of Eclipse Wolverhampton Wanderers from the 2013-14 season, the highest total ever reached in League One. “We still have the opportunity to do something that was not on our radar at the beginning of the season, something that has never been done before,” says Wagner, referring to the potential range of record points.

“Without having had the wind of the series of documentaries distributed by Amazon to over 200 countries, we would have already been on the way to have the same level as revenue as the parachute clubs next year in the championship (those recently relegated by the Premier League), which is something that has never happened before,” says Wagner.

“With the wind of a series of documentaries and so many global partners, we have a lot to come on the side of the revenue, and we need them to get the (right) players. We are concentrated on making it a commercially valid club. I will not rest until we are the most powerful generation club of revenue in the championship with a large margin, including those who get parachute payments.

“I also promise every bluenose (Birmingham fans) out there that we will not stop until we have struck our other longer -term goals. It would be a crime against my beliefs to say something different from what I hate losing, so I wanted our fans to celebrate here at Wembley, but we will not change.

“Seeing supporters singing so strong is what it is. It is a question of preserving all this (noise). We all believe and we do not want to damage it. We want it to continue.”
