The beds were there a week ago, but when a patient returned to the emergency department of the Blacktown hospital on Thursday, they had been replaced with chairs.
Thousands of state doctors were on strike, which meant that the emergency department of the hospital operated in a “modified format”, said a spokesman for the Sydney western local health district.

The news
In an audition before the commission for industrial relations on Friday morning, the Union of Doctors confirmed that he would obey the orders of the Court to abstain from industrial action for the next three months.

The union and the government had negotiated a new agreement for doctors for more than a year before the strike this week. This involved 15 meetings, during which no part could agree on a way to follow.
The doctors voted at the beginning of this year in favor of a three -day strike, which the government tried to block in the industrial court. He won, but the doctors came out anyway, challenging the orders of the court.

“They are leaving. And it’s like looking at the deforestation of the old -growing forest,” Priestley said. “It will take a generation to replace them.”
Asmof said that over 3000 new members joined this month.
