Injury Heartbreak for the Bombardieri designer to be; AFL to allow the star of Richmond Tigers Noah Balta to return while waiting for the conviction for assault

The AFL will allow Richmond’s Noah Balta to return to play before being sentenced for having attacked a man outside a NSW reverberation club.

Balta declared himself guilty of aggression and will be sentenced on April 22 for his attack on the 27 year old Thomas Washbrook outside the Mulwala Water Ski Club.

Balta was suspended for six games from his club-two of which in the pre-installation-in a penalty ratified by the FL after the accident of 30 December last year.

The suspension expires this weekend, with Balta suitable to return to the Round-Cinque match against Fremantle on April 13.

The CEO of AFL Andrew Dillon said that the League was “at ease” in allowing Balta to play before being sentenced to court.

“When Noah could have played again, he would have served an AFL suspension of four weeks and loses a couple of weeks of tests of rehearsals,” Dillon said to journalists in Adelaide Tuesday, Tuesday

“In the end, it will be a decision by Richmond, whether they select it directly in the FL or on the VFL side.”

Dillon said the AFL does not stop again before Balta’s sentence.

“We worked with Richmond and we are comfortable with the suspensions and suspensions that Noah served … we are comfortable with the point where Richmond landed on that,” said Dillon.

Richmond Adem Yze’s coach reported after the game last Saturday that Balta would be an automatic selection when available.

“Oh, without a doubt. We have drawn that suspension, we feel like it is the right time, six games is a right blow,” said Yze.

Balta, 25 years old, stated guilty in the local choir court for attacker causing physical damage, which in the new South Wales involves a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
