Isaah Yeo is ready to play the 250th game for Penrith Panthers

“I had to mark Bj Leilua, and we were the two most tired players on the field,” said Yeo. “The Newcastle ended with a pile of injuries, Kurt Gidley was put out of combat and remained only one player on the bench.

“(Teammate Panthers) David Simmons told me with about five or ten minutes to go to immerse everything. For some reason, I vividly remember that he told me, and I did it. I didn’t give anything for granted.

“I did nothing for the whole game. I helped to take someone on the sidelines. Apart from this, I was just there to be a number.”

The Yeo debut was so the last minute that the club forgot everything to maintain its debut shirt.

“He entered the washing with the shirts of all the others,” said Yeo. “Only about two years ago the club found a shirt that was similar to that season and embroidered it for me. I kept any other shirt from the Milestone games.”

Golden try the disaster in the game 50

The panthers went to Mount Smart Stadium and lost in extra time when Shaun Johnson marked an 89th minute attempt to ruin Yeo’s 50th game.

The salient points of the wet and suction cup night showed that Yeo loads himself on the ball in the opening minutes and poured a few meters from the test line.

“I don’t think it was done much for the 50th, and I don’t remember much since that night, apart from the fact that it was wet and windy as usual,” said Yeo.

The loss also scored the first time that a young Nathan Cleary came across his head with his idol Johnson, against the club with whom he spent time like Ballboy when Father Ivan was a coach.

Suncorp hammered in the game 100

Suncorp Stadium is one of Yeo’s favorite places, but it was not a happy hunting ground in the Round 19, 2018, when the Broncos reached half a century in the 100th game of Yeo.

Jarome Lui played full -back, Waqa Blake overturned the ball in the opening minutes and brown has marked, so he continued to score. The night also presented Corey Harawira-Naera who chases Anthony Milford after making the hair in the backplay.

“I was starting on an edge and then I moved to the center when Corey approached,” said Yeo. “We were whipped that night. I think I dropped the ball and scored a test on the back.

“That year I won the Mervright medal (to be the best Penrith player), but I was not going through a good period at that stage of the season.

“Suncorp remains one of my favorite places to play because of how strong it is when you are playing against Broncos, Queensland or Magic Round. But I will try to forget it.”

Pretty in pink for the game 150

The panthers surprised Yeo before his 150th anniversary inviting his parents, Justin and Amy, to present his stone jersey to his son.

Justin made fun of his son’s elusive hair attachment and how Yeo also seemed to somehow 45 years old.

“We beat the dogs with torrential rain, there were Pozzanghere everywhere in Commbank and I remember having a skoll a beer with dad in the warehouses. It was a nice moment,” said Yeo.

It has become a tradition of club for the debut of players and staff who celebrate birthdays for Skol a beer in the sheds after a game as part of the club tradition. There were moments when the players remained silent waiting for their teammate to swallow the amber nectar while the latter sprout.

“That day there were no dramas with dad and I,” said Yeo.

Capital punishment for 200

The panthers shot him late against Canberra at the Thu stadium to triumph 53-12 in the fourth round, 2023, for the 200 ° of Yeo.

“My grandparents, Pat and Kier, were at the game, but much of the family did not travel for the game because he was in Canberra. But Ivan had nice things to say in the lead,” said Yeo.

“We had (daughter) Haven then, so it was nice to share that moment with her.

“When I beat Carter’s record in the prelimance final of last year against Cronulla, Haven did not want to have anything to do when I went out. But the two boys, Tatum and Lennox, came to the field, so it was nice to have those memories to love and look back.”
