Jerry Jones ‘comments on the talks of agent and contract ready for Micah Parsons’ response
Palm Beach, Fla. – Jerry Jones no longer brings a leader to the head. Dallas Cowboys’ owner and general manager have an iPhone. He says that not many have his personal mobile number. A person who does it is Micah Parsons.
Jones estimates that the two have recently spoke five or six times as regards the contractual situation of Parsons. Jones had no similar conversations with the agent of Parsons, David Mulugheta. According to Jones, he does not know his name. It is very difficult to believe that considering that Mulugheta represents some of the most paid players of the NFL, from Deshaun Watson and Jalen Ramsey to Jordan Love and Derwin James.
“The agent is not a factor here, or something to worry about,” said Jones on Tuesday from the annual meeting of the League. “And I don’t know his name. My point is that I’m not trying to diminish it in any way, but it is not an agent. The agent does not have something to do with what we are doing when we enter the football field.”

The recent posts on social media of Parsons suggest that its agent means more for these negotiations than Jones is recognizing.
After some of Jones of Tuesday’s quotes emerged on social media, Parsons replied by saying on X that he will not put a contract to finalize without the involvement of his agent.

Two weeks ago, Parsons published on X that Mulugheta has its best interests and who feels sad for the players who get “Violated by the teams because of the lack of decency and effort from their agents !!”
Parsons remained a year on his beginner contract, something that Jones clarified to journalists on Tuesday. Although it is true, things seem to go in a direction similar to the contractual negotiations of the franchise with Dak Prescott and Cedade Lamb last year. Lamb was not signed until four weeks of the training field had been completed. Precott’s agreement was not aimed until the hours before opening the season in Cleveland. In the end, both players got everything they wanted. Lamb has become one of the non -paid neighborhoods in the history of the League. Prescott became the most paid player in the history of the League.
There is no reason to think that Parsons will eventually not sign an agreement that makes it the non -QB more paid. As with Lamb and Prescott, the longer, the more Parsons it is likely to receive. Jones shared that negotiations with Parsons are later on Lamb last year at the moment. Jones called them “very good” discussions and a “true meeting of minds”.

But why wait again?

None of these things seemed to be a recent problem as Star Pass Rusers Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby and the receiver Wide Star Ja’Marr Chase have signed agreements that made them among the most paid players of the League. All three have annual salaries that have an average of over $ 35.5 million per season. Chase is at the top of the group A $ 40.25 million per season, making it the current non -QB more paid in the history of the League.
Jones said he had not had any reaction to listening to those extensions of the contract that probably had an impact on the next Parsons agreement.
“When you make a financial decision,” said Jones. “I have never examined how other people pay because most of the time they are not comparable situations, they simply adapt to the times and adapt to the position. He then referred to paying in excess when he bought the Cowboys in 1989. He repeated the way most of his successes in life came after paying in excess for something.
“I have a lot of confidence in managing money,” he said. “And I have a lot of confidence in looking at me around the corner, having an idea where or not the entrances will be.
“I’ve never had anything I wanted I couldn’t get. Never. I understand a way.”

In one way or another, Parsons should eventually make an agreement with the cowboys that makes him one of the most paid players of the League. After this happens, expectations will continue to dominate the field, but also more in terms of leadership.
Parsons recognized that he is ready to embrace a more important role in that area. Cowboys believe that it will participate in off -season training even if a new contact has not been reached since then.
“Micah must be the player who wants to pay how,” said Jones. “He has to be a tremendous leader for the dallas cowboys. He has the skill, he has the capacity mentary, and so for us to justify the kinds of dollars we’re talking about with any basis, he has to literally lead the way.
