Jet Greaves continues to roll, Adam Fantilli continues to score in crucial victory for blue jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets have been one of the most stimulating stories of the NHL throughout the season, and this journey for the fairytale book could still obtain a fairytale book ending.
A week ago, the Blue Jackets were parked in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, with four teams and eight points that separate them from the final playoff point. It wasn’t even a beautiful image. There were verbal spaces between teammates, ugly performances and Shatout losses.
The Blue Jackets have not yet won anything, but they have found a wave of the end of the season that is making a huge amount of pressure on Montreal’s canadiens with only two remaining games for both teams.
Adam Fantilli scored two goals for the second consecutive game and the goalkeeper of the debutant Jet Greaves played 29 parades to continue his remarkable game in circumstances that is anything but ideal, guiding the Blue Jackets at a 4-1 Sunday victory against Washington Capitals before 18,573 in the capital.
He marked the fourth consecutive victory of the Blue Jackets. The last three came in front of the elimination, a way full of pressure to play. Sunday’s victory scored the first time for the whole season that the Blue Jackets won in the regulation in the second half of a back-to-back.
“We played hard. We played simple. Jet, of course, did some enormous saves for us, but we played desperately,” said defender Zach Werenski in Washington, DC “everything we can do is try to win hockey games and see what they are shaking. Everyone is buying. It is a victory or go home”.
Werenski and Dmitri Voronkov also scored for the Blue Jackets, who remained behind 1-0 only 1:10 in the game with an Alex wherechkin’s goal and did not seem less crumbled. On the front -Off, Mathieu Olivier of Columbus dropped the gloves with Washington Dylan Mcilrath and landed two or three heavy punches.
Subsequently, the Blue Jackets played well with the club that led the Eastern Conference – and, sometimes, the NHL – throughout the season.

The entire training deserves credit for this, of course, but no one more than Greaves.
Sunday’s match was his fourth in five days, including a start for Ahl Cleveland last Wednesday before his call. And while the coach of the Blue Jackets Dean Label spent his pre-match and post-matchy fray that behaved in this way was not a big problem, it is a rather rare company in terms of professionals.
The first blow Greaves faced on Sunday was ovechkin wide open in the slot, found there by a passage out of the wall of Dylan Strome, and exploded only one timer on the net. “It’s incredible,” said Werenski. “He works very hard. We have seen him several times this year. To come here and do what he is doing right now in these important games, he is incredible. He has given a great push to our team. Hats off to him. He played incredibly and played a lot hockey in the last two days.
“Nothing seems to be frightened. He only plays his game. He is confident in there. He gives our team trust in the way he plays. He is probably ready for a free day, but so impressive. He is marked at the beginning of the game and is enough immediately.”

The Blue Jackets still have very little margin of error in committing the post -station.
If Montreal wins one of their two remaining games-the 31st place of Chicago Blackhawks on Monday and the carplists of Carolina Wednesday-Blue Jackets are eliminated. If the Canadiens forgive both their remaining games in extraordinary or in a shooting, they are still inside, regardless of what the Blue Jackets do.
But if the Blue Jackets win the remaining two games-Ai Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday, then Home vs. The New York Icelanders Thursday-Firm the playoffs if Montreal goes 0-1-1 or 0-2-0.

The advantage grew to 3-1 at 1:57 of the third with one of the most beautiful goals of the season. The Blue Jackets had low disc when James Van Riemsdyk sent the album in front of Kent Johnson, who brought him wide from the slot, bringing with him all the attention of the capital. But when everyone thought that Johnson would shoot, he saw infantili who squeezed from the angle of the eye. Fantilli collected the passage and shot him in an abandoned net, with Lindgren lying on the ice for a stroke of Johnson who never arrived.
Fantilli now has 29 goals in the season, second only to Kirill Marchenko (31).
Voronkov scored 4-1 with only 4:12 remaining when he blocked an attempt to compensate the capital and collected the disc behind the defender, enlarged for an escape on Lindgren.
Now the Blue Jackets are waiting for – and look.
