Joburg Ladies Open: Mimi Rhodes takes the lead of three shots before the final round

England Mimi Rhodes will take an advantage of three shots in the last round of Sunday at Joburg Ladies Open in South Africa.
Rhodes, who entered his second round with an advantage with a blow, loaded a 69 to four under -pars to go to -12 for the tournament and three shots free from the Casandra Alexander of South Africa and Lauren Walsh of the Republic of Ireland (both nine below).
The 23 -year -old is chasing his second European women’s (LET) tour after claiming the Ford Women NSW Open title last month in Wollongg, Australia.
Rhodes had five birds and a Bogey in his second round in the abbreviated competition.
Following heavy rains and floods in some parts of the route, the Let and Sunshine Ladies tour opted to reduce the 72 hole to 54 competitions, with the final round that will take place as expected Sunday.
Rhodes was eight under-pars for the weekend in which the game was suspended on Friday before ending the last 13 holes of his second round on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Alice Hewson in England went to level in her second round and sits four under the final round.
