Buruk, who enjoyed two spells in Galatasaray as a player before returning as a manager in 2022, played the accident at his post-match press conference.
“There was nothing between me and Mourinho,” said Buruk.
“It pinched my nose from behind. There was a slight scratch. Of course, it was not a very beautiful or elegant thing to do.
“We expect managers to behave more appropriately in such situations. You will not overdo this problem, but it wasn’t a class move.”
The substitute for Fenerbahce Mert Yandas and Galatasaray replaces Kerem Demirbay and Baris Yilmaz were shown red cards for their part in a fray between the two benches during the stopping period.
