Kevin Willard turns to the future in Maryland: “I don’t know what I’m doing”

Willard was brutally honest Since the NCAA tournament began last week. He has not seen a reason to change his approach on Thursday. As a question about his future at College Park, Willard said he didn’t think so much.
“I don’t know what I’m doing, I will only be honest,” he said. “I didn’t talk to my agent, I didn’t talk to my wife. I made a promise to this team that I would have just focused on this team and this is all I did. So I didn’t talk to anyone. I have an agent. I am sure he is talking to people because that’s what he likes to do the agents. But I don’t know.”
Willard said he doesn’t even know if Villanova’s work was offered, because that offer would be extended through his agent.
“At this moment my greatest concerns in life are, I don’t know who my boss will be,” Willard said.
Last week, just before the first game of the Terps NCAA tournament, the athletic director of Maryland Damon Evans – who took Willard in 2022 – started for the same position at SMU.
“The boy who brought me here and who I liked a lot, of whom I was really grateful, left,” said Willard. “I don’t know who we will take and this worries me a lot. I’m just honest.”
Willard said whatever happens later, it would be “a family decision. I love college park. I love Maryland. But when you are at this point in your career and you are looking at things, I have to consider everything to go on”.
And no, all his honesty does not pose, even if he has rubbed some people in the wrong way. Willard said he would not change anything for his approach, which included the public challenge of Maryland’s commitment to the rims and wondered out loud if the financial position of the school-socket in Nil who in sharing the revenue, which will probably begin in autumn-muscliers would.
